This month’s meeting will be Thursday, October 15 at the Canyon Crown Pub, 6958 E Tanque Verde Rd, Tucson 85715. The meeting room is in the back far left from the front door.

We will be moving back to our earlier dinner time starting at 5:00 pm to avoid the trivia game noise. Meeting will start at 6:00pm with our speaker at about 7pm. This month’s speaker will be a video update on the up-and-coming Dxpedition to Christmas Island, VK9XY from November 16 to December 4th. Max Freedman, N4ML, is leading a 12-person team with 10 operators under the age of 26, representing six countries and five continents. VK9XY plans to operate around the clock with a particular emphasis on 160, 80, and 40 meters. They’ll bring four FlexRadio Aurora 520s, two Flex 6700s, two PGXL amplifiers, remote operating capability, and an EME station. They’ll even take on CQ Worldwide CW from the island.
